 VOTE...How should we Save our 2 Million
Member Movement?
Thanks so much for joining our movement!  Together, we collected over 60,000 petition signatures which we sent to the UN and the White House, made a difference, created over 1,300 discussions, posted over 1,300 inspiring pics, and even saved lives of a number of bullied LGBT youth. 


Now, fb is "archiving" (deleting) our same sex marriage group and deleting over 2 million members due to "insufficient activity", in spite of hundreds of posts per month. For months, the fb execs have not returned group creator Sharon Love's phone calls or emails about our petitions.   Please post your comments below and/or vote with your clicks.  Should we...

a) try to get more activity on the group to save it,
b) take our movement to YouTube and aim for ten million views on a video to support same-sex marriage 
c) find someone in the group to write a press release and/or take over media relations (know
anyone) to save the group?

Facebook has been saving young lives. You can continue to save lives, if
  you save the world's biggest gay-friendly facebook group, with all its
  information, members and discussions. You can make it better for LGBT (Lesbian,
  Gay, Bisexual and Trans) youth.  
As you know, the group, "I Bet We Can Find 1,000,000 People who Support
Same-Sex Marriage" reached over 2 million members in just over 2 weeks last

 Restoring the group
  is the right thing to do.  It's
also the profitable thing to do, as the gay-friendly community supports
facebook. 




Sharon Love started the group because her "not straight" cousin
took his life when they were young. 
She has sent a link of the group to countless youth who posted suicide
threats on facebook. Many times,
Love has sent messages to LGBT youth in crisis saying things like, "Please, on
behalf of over 2 million people, I ask you to live. 
Yes! Over two million people
support you. There is hope.  Just read the discussions and you'll
see....". Those youth are still
alive today, thanks in part to you. 
Please bring back the elements of the group that have been deleted,
including the earlier discussions and the list of over 2 million members. 




The group is a place where LGBT youth go 24/7, year-round, for a
much-needed sense of belonging, support and self-esteem. Saving the group will
not only promote justice, it will also save more lives. The group gets hundreds
of posts every month.  Please
  upgrade the group, or keep it as is.

  top of the group indicates is planned.

OUTstanding Lives Network Aims for Guiness World Record

OUTstanding Lives Network recently applied to Guiness World Record in the category of World's Largest Gay-Friendly Facebook Group.

Last year, Sharon Love created a Facebook group that attracted over two million members in just over two weeks, with no advertising at all (it was one of over 40 social networks she created to inspire pride and save lives of bullied gay youth).  The group is called “I Bet We Can Find 1,000,000 People who Support Same-Sex Marriage”. 

To see the group that attracted so many people, click here.      “I would like to get in the Guiness Book of World Records so the publicity will help more gay, lesbian. bisexual and trans youth find out about the group,” explains Love. “If they know that there are many people who support them, we will prevent bullying and suicide and save more lives.  It will also, hopefully, convince Facebook to keep our group with all our members (currently they are archiving most groups from the past).” 

As you may know, a facebook group is different from a facebook page (the latter usually uses advertising; a group is grassroots).  This may also be the World's Largest Facebook Group, period. 

The next goal of is to create videos that reach millions, inspire pride and save young lives.  “We're not a charity, but a very good cause to inspire pride and save young lives,” says Love.   “We're a social purpose enterprise, aiming to make a living by making a difference.”
